My name is Jo Kermond and I am the owner operator of 1 on 1 Pet Care - pet services.  After over eleven years working in the corporate world, I decided that I needed a change in direction and went back to my childhood dream of working with animals. 1 on 1 Pet Care has been in opreration since late 2004.

I am a RSPCA volunteer, a member of Companion Animals Service Providers Association of Victoria (CASPA) and have completed introductory courses in dog behaviour & training and puppy training. I have a passion for passing on knowledge and education to animal owners and the education of the public.  

An all time animal lover and owner, the idea of 1 on 1 Pet Care came from the issues I had when I was based in Sydney and was on call with my job. I had two cats and a dog (still do!) and in my role was required to travel and work extensive hours. At the time I lived by myself and did not want to board my pets. There had to be another way.

My pets love their home and being in their own environment. My dog Zebedee had a walker, however their business was not structured to accommodate a ‘house visit’ service when people were away. By house visit, I needed someone to come to my home, check on and feed and water my dog and cats, provide some companionship and pats and praise and basically the jobs associated with that; a bit of kitty litter tray cleaning, walking Zebedee if required and whatever else they needed.
